REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1 Remove engine cover. Engine 275.95, 285 AR01.10-P-2405LA
Engine 275.98 AR01.10-P-2405IM
2 Remove cap (1) of filler neck (2) NOTES Only open cap (1) at a coolant temperature below 40°C otherwise coolant can flow out.
If coolant has flowed out, the low temperature circuit must be bled: ↓

10 Check condition and coolant loss of low temperature circuit radiator, coolant lines and hoses as well as connecting points; replace low temperature circuit radiator, as well as coolant lines and hoses if required IMPORTANT If vehicle is raised.
11 Check condition and seating of the clamps; remove clamp with hose clamp pliers if necessary and replace If no water loss can be determined from outside: ↓
Remove engine induction air ducts from left and right-side charge air coolers. AR09.41-P-8623H
Check left and right charge air cooler at air inlet using a flexible endoscope, cylinder illumination unit and inspection mirror for inner leaktightness.
In the event of leaks: ↓
AR09.41-P-6800-01H
Replace left and/or right-side charge air cooler.
If no water loss is determined at the side of the air inlet: ↓
AR09.41-P-6817HH
Leaving coolant lines connected, remove left and right-side charge air coolers from engine. AR09.41-P-6817HH
Check left and right charge air cooler at air outlet using a flexible endoscope, cylinder illumination unit and inspection mirror for inner leaktightness.
