Remove/install water repellent over wiper system - AR83.25-P-1406RT

REMOVING Remove     
DANGER Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism. Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism. AS82.30-Z-0001-01A
1 Move the wiper arms into park position and switch off the wiper system    
2 Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit IMPORTANT On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off.
Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).
 
3 Open engine hood (1) and raise to vertical position Opening engine hood, moving to upright position and closing AR88.40-P-1000RT
4 Remove wiper arms (2) Remove and install wiper arm AR82.30-P-6100RT
5 Loosen rubber seal (3) in area of water diverter (4) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that rubber seal (3) is seated correctly at water deflector (4).  
6 Unclip water diverter (4) from apex seal of windshield (arrows A) and remove it IMPORTANT If necessary, lower engine hood (1) slightly.
IMPORTANT Moisten upper edge of water deflector (4) with soapy water. Detach water deflector (4) beginning on one side toward top (arrows B).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Moisten upper edge of water deflector (4) and seal strip of windshield with soapy water.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Note installation position of water deflector (4) in seal strip of windshield.
 
7 Install in the reverse order
