	Remove/install
	Risk of injury caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.	Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism.	AS82.30-Z-0001-01A

		Check wiper arms and adjust	AR82.30-P-6000RT
1	Move the wiper arms into park position and switch off the wiper system
2	Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EZS control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go: Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).
3	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position		AR88.40-P-1000RT
4	Raise cover (3) on driver side wiper arm (2)	When removing driver side wiper arm (2).
5	Unscrew nut (4) and loosen driver side wiper arm (2) drive shaft and remove	When removing driver side wiper arm (2). Carefully remove driver side wiper arm (2) to prevent damaging paint on engine hood. The wiper arm should not spring back on the windshield to prevent damage.

6	Unscrew nut (5) on passenger side wiper arm (1)	When removing passenger side wiper arm (1).

7	Loosen passenger side wiper arm (1) from wiper drive shaft and remove	When removing passenger side wiper arm (1). Carefully remove passenger side wiper arm (1) to prevent damaging paint on engine hood. The wiper arm should not spring back on the windshield to prevent damage.
8	Install in the reverse order
9	Check wiper arms and adjust		AR82.30-P-6000RT
10	Carry out function check		AP82.30-P-8252RT
