Lift/jack up vehicle - AR00.60-P-1000RT

  Lift/lower vehicle     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off on its own when jacked up. Risk of injury  caused by rotating parts when working on running engine or drive train. Ensure that supports are in a safe condition.
An authorized person must occupy the driver seat.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

1 Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lift support points of the body IMPORTANT The vehicle must be driven onto a drive-on lifting platform in order to remove or install the underfloor paneling at the sides.  
2 Adapt the support plates of the lifting platform support arms to match the height of the vehicle IMPORTANT Turn support plates until they contact the lift support points on the body.
NOTES If the lifting platform support points are not positioned correctly at the lift support points provided on the vehicle for this purpose, damage may be caused to the vehicle longitudinal supports
 
3 Secure vehicle on lifting platform against falling over IMPORTANT Only when removing major assemblies (e.g. engine, front axle carriers, axles). AR00.60-P-0100RT

4 Raise vehicle with vehicle lift e.g.:
Two-post lift
 
5 Lower vehicle in reverse order    
  Jack up/lower vehicle     
6 Lift vehicle with inspection pit lift or floor jack NOTES The plunger of the inspection pit lift or floor jack may only be applied to the front axle lift support point and rear axle lift support point, otherwise the axles, major assemblies or body may be damaged. e.g.:
Pit lift
e.g.: Trolley jack
 
7 Secure the vehicle against tilting and toppling. IMPORTANT Position jack stand under the body lift support points.

8 Lower vehicle in reverse order
