	Remove/Install
	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge	All models	AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Turn steering to side on which repair work is to be performed
2	Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit	On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
3	Raise vehicle with lifting platform		AR00.60-P-1000RT
4	Remove the front section of the fender liner in the left or right front fender		AR88.10-P-1310RT
5	Remove bolt (1) and pull left front RPM sensor (L6/1) or right front RPM sensor (L6/2) out of steering knuckle	Fit new bolt (1).

6	Disconnect electrical connectors (3) from body socket
7	Disconnect electrical connectors (3) from each other (arrows B)	Carefully disconnect electrical connectors (3).
8	Remove line for RPM sensor (2) on left or right side of vehicle from brackets (arrows A)	Pay attention to correct routing of the line for the RPM sensor (2). Route the line of the RPM sensor (2) so that there is no crossover.
9	Install in the reverse order
10	Read out fault memory and erase	STAR DIAGNOSIS system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory	STAR DIAGNOSIS system	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
