	Remove/install
	Risk of injury in the form of trapping or crushing, or even severing of limbs, if caught in windshield wiper mechanism	Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism.	AS82.30-Z-0001-01A
1	Move the wiper arms into park position and switch off the wiper system (1)
2	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from EIS control unit	The wiper system (1) may switch on by itself when the ignition is on as a result of the rain sensor on the windshield. On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).
3	Remove water repellent over wiper system		AR83.25-P-1406RT
4	Unscrew mounting screws (2) from wiper system (1)		*BA82.30-P-1004-01K
5	Remove screw (3)	Do not loosen bolt (4) from bracket on wiper system (5) Do not change installation position of wiper system bracket (5) at partition wall, since this would change the contact pressure of the wiper arms and therefore the wiping area.
6	Lift wiper system (1) and disconnect electrical connector (6) from wiper motor (M6/1)
7	Remove wiper system (1)
8.1	Unclip wiper linkage (7) from engine crank (8).	When replacing wiper system (1).
9.1	Rotate the wiper motor crank (8) (M6/1) to the right until all the screws (9) are accessible	When replacing wiper system (1).
10.1	Unscrew bolts (9)	When replacing wiper system (1).

11	Install in the reverse order
12	Carry out function check of the windshield wipers and the windshield washer system
