Remove/install wiper motor - AR82.30-P-6800RT

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury in the form of trapping or crushing, or even severing of limbs, if caught in windshield wiper mechanism  Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism. AS82.30-Z-0001-01A
1 Move the wiper arms into park position and switch off the wiper system (1)    
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from EIS control unit IMPORTANT The wiper system (1) may switch on by itself when the ignition is on as a result of the rain sensor on the windshield.
IMPORTANT On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).
 
3 Remove water repellent over wiper system   AR83.25-P-1406RT
4 Turn engine crank (2) on wiper motor (M6/1) to left (arrow) until all bolts (4) are accessible.    
5 Unclip wiper linkage (3) from engine crank (2).    
6 Unscrew bolts (4) and lay wiper motor (M6/1) down to side TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA82.30-P-1002-01K 
7 Disconnect electrical connector (5)    
8 Remove wiper motor (M6/1)    
9 Install in the reverse order    
10 Carry out function check of the windshield wipers and the windshield washer system    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Windshield wipers, windshield washer system and headlamp cleaning system - function check AP82.30-P-8252RT
