	Remove/install
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		see AH00.00-N-0001-01A
	While working on the rear axle, care must be taken to ensure that the surface of aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches. Otherwise the service life of the parts will be affected
	Only tighten nuts and bolts of chassis components when vehicle is in a ready-to-drive condition.
1	Secure vehicle on the lifting platform		see AR00.60-P-0100SX
2	Remove wheel.
	Remove/install wheels		see AP40.10-P-4050SX
3	Raise wheel carrier (7) using transmission jack and transmission platform until rear axle shaft (37) is roughly horizontal
4	Mark installation position of eccentric disk (4a)	The toe-in is set ex-factory with the eccentric disk (4a).
5	Remove tie rod (4) from wheel carrier (7) and rear axle carrier (1)	Model 221	see *BA35.20-P-1001-04C

6	Install in the reverse order
7	Perform a wheel alignment check	Model 221 without top protection and model 221 without 4MATIC Model 221 with top protection code Z07, model 221 with 4MATIC and model 216	see AR40.20-P-0200SX
