	Remove/install
	Risk of death  due to the vehicle slipping off or toppling off the lifting platform	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
Installation	Replace self-locking nuts and bolts.
1	Remove rear wheels	See ↓
		Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary.	AP40.10-P-4050Z
2	Remove torsion bar (6r)	Linkage rods remain attached to the wheel carriers.

3	Detach underbody panel (131).	Unscrew the four rear bolts on the cover panel (131a) and press the panel down. Avoid bending side member cover panels any more than absolutely necessary.
4	Unscrew fuel filter (115) at bracket	Do not disconnect fuel lines. Hold fuel filter to the side.
5	Remove exhaust heat shield (105c)
6	Unscrew retaining bolts from propeller shaft intermediate bearing (106a)		*BA41.40-P-1001-01A
7	Disconnect propeller shaft (106) from rear axle center assembly at the flange	See ↓
		Disconnect rear propeller shaft from rear axle center assembly. The flexible coupling remains on the propeller shaft. Tie up propeller shaft as high as possible. If the propeller shaft cannot be detached from the propeller shaft flange: ↓	AR41.10-P-0050-03EA
		Release guide sleeves on flexible coupling.	AR41.10-P-0050-09DA
	Drift for releasing the fitted sleeves in the flexible couplings	Models 203, 209	WF58.50-P-4110-01A

8	Support rear axle at rear axle center assembly	Secure against falling.

9	Remove rear axle mounting bolts (1c) at front and rear on one side	Installation:  Recut thread on frame floor with tap.
		Front rear axle suspension bolt.	*BA35.10-P-1001-01A
		Rear axle suspension bolt.	*BA35.10-P-1002-01A
10	Lower rear axle	When lowering the rear axle, press away from fuel tank using assembly lever. Drain rear axle until the fixing bolt of the tension arm can be tightened at the rear axle carrier.
11	Unscrew bolts of tension arm (3) at wheel carrier and rear axle carrier	Self-locking nut, tension arm to rear axle carrier.	*BA35.20-P-1001-03A
