	Remove/install
1	Remove cylinder head cover		AR01.20-P-5014BV
2	Position piston of cylinder 1 to 40° after TDC	Rotate engine at crankshaft in direction of rotation until 40° marking on belt pulley/vibration damper is aligned with marking on timing case cover. The grooves on the camshafts must be pointing toward the inner V. Engine must not be cranked back.	AR05.10-P-6858V
3	Remove chain tensioner (1)		AR05.10-P-7800CA
4	Remove cylinder shutoff valve (Y80, Y81)	Installation : Ensure that the o-ring (3) is not pressed out of the oil pipe's groove (2) and that it remains undamaged when sliding the cylinder deactivation valve (Y80, Y81) onto the oil pipe (2).

5	Remove camshaft bearing bridge	Tie camshaft sprocket and timing chain together with a cable strap to prevent the timing chain from skipping. Slacken bolts in stages in the reverse order of tightening diagram (refer to Fig.).
		Installation : Assemble using new o-ring (3) (apply a coat of oil to the new o-ring). Blow through oil pipe (2) with compressed air. If the oil drillings (4) are blocked, clean these, replace oil pipe (2) if necessary.
		Observe all special instructions for installing the camshaft bearing cap .	AH05.20-P-2000-01BV
