Volume/tone adjustments, function - GF82.60-P-2003PMU

Model 203.0 /2 /7 as of 24.4.04 with CODE (528) HIGH Class USA

Model 203.0 /2 /7 as of 24.4.04 with CODE (530) COMAND APS USA (with navigation system)

In connection with the COMAND, operating, display and control unit (A40/3) a distinction must be made between audio sources and service sources:

Audio sources are:

Service sources are for example:

Volume setting

Changing the volume of an audio source has an identical effect on all other audio sources. The volume is also jointly regulated within the service sources in the same manner.

The volume of voice output for navigation can be changed during voice output. An adjustable distance (in the "Settings" menu) between the volume of the audio signal and voice output is automatically adhered to. This means that voice output remains audible even in the case of loud audio output.

Tone setting

Manual tone settings (treble, bass) can be made for each audio source on the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3). Selected settings for voice output during navigation also influence the voice control system (VCS). The following tone optimizations can be called up with code (810) Sound System:

With a change in sound emphasis (balance, fader) the relative ratio of the volume of the individual speakers changes. The signal processing required for the volume/sound settings and final amplification of the audio signals are taken over either by the audio component integrated in the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) or by the sound amplifier (A2/13) (with code (810) Sound system).
