	Removing
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by pinching or crushing  when working on springs or spring bodies that are under load	Use only approved tensioning devices; shield off hazard area if necessary. Inspect special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection). Wear protective gloves.	AS00.00-Z-0001-01A
1	Remove front spring strut (11)		AR32.25-P-1017P
	Disassemble
2	Clamp spring compressor in a vise and install clamping plates	Tensioning device	Figure

3	Install suspension strut (11) in spring compressor	Attach clamping plates so that at least three windings of the spring (12) are tensioned.
4	Clamp spring (12) until the load is taken off the upper spring cup	Observe correct installation position.
5	Unscrew nut (11a)	Counterhold piston rod (11g) using Allen wrench Model 203

6	Remove suspension strut bearing (11c)
7	Remove suspension strut (11)
8	Release spring compressor and remove spring (12) and upper spring cup	Before removing, mark the spring (12) with a chalk line (arrow).
9	Check suspension strut (11)	Check suspension strut insert for leaks. A light oil film on the suspension strut insert is permissible. In the event of damage or major leakage, dispose of suspension strut see: ↓	AR32.25-P-0121A
		Disposing of shock absorber	OS32.25-P-0121-01GC
	Assemble
10	Insert tensioning device	Insert the clamping plates so that at least three windings of the spring (12) are clamped.
11	Tension spring (12)
12	Insert suspension strut insert
13	Fit suspension strut bearing (11c) on upper spring cup	Mount the suspension strut mount (11c) so that the highest point of the suspension strut mount (a) lies on an imaginary line with the outer end of the fastening shackle (b).
14	Attach nut (11a)	Counterhold piston rod (11g) using Allen wrench Model 203: ↓

15	Release spring (12) and remove spring strut (11) from spring compressor
	Install
16	Install front strut assembly (11)		AR32.25-P-1017P
17.1	Perform a wheel alignment check	Only necessary after accident repairs.	AR40.20-P-0200P
