Remove twelve-point collar nut (40) from rear axle shaft (37) |
To avoid wheel bearing damage the vehicle may no longer be moved on its wheels once the twelve-point collar nut (40) has been loosened.
Installation:
Replace twelve-point collar nut (40). |

Do not damage the rubber boots of the rear axle shaft (37) and the exciter ring for the left rear rpm sensor (L6/3) / right rear rpm sensor (L6/4) otherwise the electronic stability program (ESP) will not function correctly.
When doing so, simultaneously push the rear axle shaft (37) out of the rear axle shaft flange.
Fold back wheel carrier (7) and tie up securely. |
