	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.	Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.	AS42.50-Z-0001-01A

1	Remove front wheel
	Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary		AP40.10-P-4050Z
2	Disconnect brake hose (51) from brake line (5)	Seal off line connections immediately with plugs. Do not allow brake fluid supply reservoir to run completely empty. Unclip brake hose from bracket.

3	Disconnect brake hose (51) from brake caliper (31a)	Seal off line connections immediately with plugs. Do not allow brake fluid supply reservoir to run completely empty.

4	Disconnect left front brake pad contact sensor (S10/1) from the left front brake pad contact sensor connector (S10/1x1)
5	Undo bolts (31e) from left front brake pad contact sensor (S10/1)	Installation:  Replace self-locking bolts in order to avoid loosening.

6	Undo bolts (35) of brake caliper (31a) at top and bottom of steering knuckle	Installation:  Replace self-locking bolts in order to avoid loosening.

7	Remove brake pads	Installation:  Observe installation position of inner brake lining (31g). The brake lining (31g) with printed-on arrow must be mounted on the side of the piston (47). The printed-on arrow must point in the direction of rotation of the wheel.
8	Install in the reverse order
9	Bleed brake system		AR42.10-P-0010P
	Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work.	Before starting engine, actuate brake pedal several times until the pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A
10	Push down brake pedal several times	To ensure that the brake system functions correctly, repeat this procedure until the brake linings (31g) rest against the brake disks (firm resistance noticeable).

11	Check brake system for leaks		AR42.10-P-0100-01A
