IMPORTANT As of 01.06.01  the structure of the switch train is different. The changes are depicted in the document "Multi-contour seat switch structure  ".

The multi-contour backrests for the driver's seat  (code 404), front passenger's seat

(Code 405) enable the individual adjustment of the relevant seat backrest by inflating and deflating a total of four twin-chamber air cushions. The contour and the surface hardness of the seat backrest can be adjusted. The inflation and deflation of the individual air cushion groups are carried out either manually via the switch train for the front right multi-contour backrest (S108)/ switch train for the front left multi-contour backrest (S109)  or automatically  via the relevant control module for the multicontour backrest when the dynamic lumbar support  function is executed.

The memory function  enables seat backrest settings (air cushion pressure values) to be stored and called up.
