Dynamically inflating/deflating air cushions in multicontour seat, function - GF91.25-P-2001A

MODEL 215 with CODE (404b) Multicontour backrest driver's seat

MODEL 215 with CODE (405b) Multicontour backrest passenger seat

Dynamic lumbar adjustment feature

To prevent back strain on long trips, the multi-contour backrest is equipped with a dynamic lumbar adjustment feature. The dynamic lumbar function is actuated by the left/right front multicontour backrest control modules (N32/15, N32/16). The program is started and stopped by the dynamic lumbar support adjustment switch (S108s1)/dynamic lumbar support adjustment switch (S109s1)  . The LED in the switches comes on when the function is active.

Procedure:

When the switch is actuated first the air pressures in the air cushions for the lumbar area are stored by the control module. Then these air cushions are deflated and the actual program starts: The lower and upper lumbar area cushions are inflated and deflated in two stages alternately. Each air pressure setting is kept for approx. 5 s before going to the next setting. The program stops automatically after approx. 8 min. and returns to the original air cushion pressures.
