Remove/install front spring - AR32.20-P-0200GX

MODEL 461, 463

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes. Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid. AS42.50-Z-0001-01A

1 Lift/jack up vehicle   AR00.60-P-1000G
2 Remove front wheels    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary   AP40.10-P-4050G
3 Support front axle    
4 Unscrew brake hose (1). NOTES The brake fluid reservoir must not run empty, otherwise difficulties may be encountered when bleeding. Dripping brake fluid causes paint damage.
IMPORTANT Seal connections immediately with stop plugs.
 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA42.10-P-1001-04B 
    MPECIAL TOOL Set of stop plugs Fig 3
5 Unscrew hydraulic line for differential lock shift cylinder IMPORTANT Seal connections immediately with stop plugs.  
    MPECIAL TOOL Set of stop plugs Fig 3
6 Detach electrical lines (2) at brackets.    
7 Unscrew nut (5) at shock absorber (4). TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA32.25-P-1001-01D 
NOTES Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts All models AH00.00-N-0001-01A
8 Lower front axle IMPORTANT Only lower the front axle until the front spring (3) can be removed.  
9 Remove front springs (3) IMPORTANTInstallation  : Check plastic hose (6) for damage at first and last coil of front spring (3), replace if necessary. Ensure front spring (3) is seated correctly.  
10 Install in the reverse order    
11 Bleed brake system and check for proper function MODEL 463.241 with code (979) Special protection version  
    All except model 463.270/271 and model 463 with code (979) Special protection version AR42.10-P-0010GG
    Model 463.270/271 AR42.10-P-0010GX
    model 463.236/248 with code (979) Special protection version AR42.10-P-0010GS
12 Bleed differential lock hydraulic system   AR33.40-P-0701GG
