	Removing
1	Remove rear wheel	Model 461.210/211/212/213/216/218/256/310/311/312/313/317/318/324/325/339/347/348/349/357, Model 463.215/218/223/229/235/238/256/315/318/329/335/338
	Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary	Except model 461.210/211/212/213/216/218/256/310/311/312/313/317/318/324/325/339/347/348/349/357, Except model 463.215/218/223/229/235/238/256/315/318/329/335/338	AP40.10-P-4050G
2	Remove locking bolt (122) at brake drum (119).
3	Detach brake drum (119)	The parking brake must be disengaged completely. Should it prove impossible to remove the brake drum (119), turn back the automatic adjuster to release the brake shoes. ↓
		Adjust automatic brake adjuster.	AR42.10-P-0169-01GG
4	Remove the lower return spring (1) from the brake shoe		Fig 7
5	Unscrew the attachment nuts (3) holding the bearing cover (4) to the axle tube
6	Pull out rear axle shaft (2).	Use caution to avoid damaging the sensor's reluctor ring on vehicles equipped with an Antilock Braking System (ABS).
7	Remove gasket between the bearing cap(s) (4) and brake carrier plate
	Install
8	Insert seal between bearing cap (4) and brake carrier plate	Install new gasket.
9	Install rear axle shaft (2).	The mark indicating the halfshaft's direction of rotation (arrows) must correspond to the actual direction in which the shaft turns when the vehicle is moving forward. If the indicated direction is not correct, substantial axle damage can result. Before sliding into place ensure that the O-ring is mounted on the locating ring.
10	Screw on mounting nuts (3) of bearing cap (4)	Tighten the attachment nuts (3) evenly in a cross pattern, continuing until the bearing cover is against the axle tube. Then tighten a half turn in a diagonal pattern until the specified tightening torque is reached.
