Remove/install brake disc - AR42.10-P-0220GG

MODEL 460, 461, 463 (except, 463.270 /271) front axle disk brakes

	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A

1	Remove brake pads on fixed caliper		AR42.10-P-0161GG
2	Detach fixed brake caliper from steering knuckle	Do not detach brake hose from fixed brake caliper and do not tension or bend it. To relieve the load on the brake hose attach the fixed brake caliper to the vehicle unstressed, otherwise the brake hose will be damaged.	AR42.10-P-0105GG
3	Remove locking bolt (64) and remove brake disk (61)	Installation:  Always replace the brake disks (61) in pairs. Apply light coating of long-life grease to brake disk's interference fit (61) and replace safety screw (64).

4	Install in the reverse order
	Checking
	Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work	Before starting engine, actuate brake pedal several times until the pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A
5.1	Press brake pedal several times and check brake system for leaks	Except model 463.236 /248 with code (979) Special protection version Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal.	AR42.10-P-0100-01A

6	Check fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir, correct if necessary
