	Removing
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	-

1	Raise vehicle with vehicle lift
2	Remove hubcaps	Vehicles with hubcaps
3	Unscrew wheel bolts and remove wheel-and- tire assemblies	Socket wrench	Fig 3
	Checking
4	Check tires for signs of damage and make sure that they are in good condition		AP40.10-P-4051Z
5	Clean and check wheel bolt connection components, then protect against corrosion	Before mounting a wheel-and-tire assembly all  the operation steps listed in the linked description must be conducted carefully. Otherwise the wheel-and-tire assembly may work its way loose from the vehicle and cause damage to people, property or the environment!	AP40.10-P-4050-01A

	Installing
6	Change round wheel-and-tire assemblies on front and rear axles	As required, and only on vehicles without mixed tires Maintain running direction of wheel-and-tire assemblies. Otherwise handling characteristics and handling comfort may be impaired and tire wear increased.
7	Mount wheel-and-tire assembly and tighten wheel bolts	Observe the tightening sequence (1 to 5) and tightening torque.

8	Lower vehicle
9	Correct tire pressure of front and rear axle tires	In the event of unusual tire pressure loss: ↓ Determine and rectify cause, subject to separate repair order.	AR40.10-P-1030A
10	Mount hubcaps	Vehicles with hubcaps Check for correct positioning of hubcap to valve and for correct seating. Otherwise the valve may be damaged or the hubcap may be lost.
11	Activate the tire pressure monitoring system	Only for wheel-and-tire assembly change, tire replacement or a change in tire pressure.	AR54.30-P-1000-02RAR
