MODEL 230
The wiper system (WSA) is operated using the combination switch (S4). The selected wiper level is transmitted from the steering column module (N80) via the Class B (interior) Controller Area Network Bus (CAN-B) to the driver-side SAM control unit (N10/10). The driver-side SAM control unit (N10/10) actuates the wiper motor (M6/1).
Wipe
- Touch wipe:
Push the combination switch (S4) as far as to the detent.
- Automatic control depending on rainfall intensity:
Turn combination switch (S4) to position "I".
- Wipe at slow speed:
Turn combination switch (S4) to position "II".
- Wipe at fast speed:
Turn combination switch (S4) to position "III".
WASH
Windshield is wiped while spraying washing water. To do this, push combination switch (S4) beyond detent.
Windshield washer system heater
Automatically controlled by driver-side SAM control unit (N10/10) depending on outside temperature.
Wiper park position heater
Automatically controlled by passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11) depending on outside temperature.
