Testing For Leaks Using Pressure Gauge: Notes

NOTE: Letters and numbers in parenthesis correspond to letters and numbers in illustrations.
  1. Raise and support vehicle. Unscrew bleed screw at front left brake caliper and connect pressure tester (051). See Fig 1 .
  2. Bleed pressure tester according to manufacturer's operating instructions.
  3. Switch off easy entry function for driver's seat and steering wheel.
  4. To cancel seat and steering wheel movement, do one of the following after entering vehicle and easy entry function goes into motion:
    • Press seat adjustment switch.
    • Move steering column stalk.
    • Press memory switch.
  5. Move selection marker with "+" or "-" button to the "CONVENIENCE" submenu in the multi-function display located in the speedometer.
  6. Press "UP" or "DOWN" button repeatedly until "EASY-ENTRY FEATURE ACTIVATE" appears in display.
  7. The selection marker appears on current setting.
  8. Press "+" or "-" button to change setting to "OFF". This will deactivate easy entry/exit feature. To activate, select "ST. COL. + SEAT". Continue with high pressure testing. See HIGH PRESSURE TESTING  .
