High Pressure Testing

  1. Run engine at moderate speed then create as great a vacuum as possible by suddenly releasing accelerator pedal.
  2. Insert brake pedal locking device (080) together with adapter between brake pedal and seat. See Figure .
  3. Depress brake pedal as far as possible with brake pedal locking device. The pressure loss during test duration of 5 minutes must not exceed 5 percent of regulated value. Continue with low pressure testing. See LOW PRESSURE TESTING  .
