Remove/install air conditioner housing - AR83.30-P-5200GM

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant. Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained. AS83.00-Z-0001-01A

1 Drain coolant IMPORTANT Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container.  
Replace coolant Engine 612.965 in model 463.322/323,
Engine 628.962 in model 463.309/332/333,

2 Remove fluid reservoir IMPORTANTInstallation:  The fluid reservoir must be replaced each time the refrigerant circuit is opened.. AR83.30-P-6520GM 
3 Unscrew nut (1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA83.30-P-1001-01C 
4 Remove pressure lines together with retaining plate (2) IMPORTANT Seal off openings, otherwise moisture will enter the system.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Use new sealing rings. Moisten threads and seal rings with compressor oil, otherwise refrigerant can escape.

5 Remove heater supply hose (4) from neck IMPORTANT Plug openings.

6 Remove heater return hose (5) from neck IMPORTANT Plug openings.

7 Completely move back driver and passenger seats    
8 Remove dashboard   AR68.10-P-1000GM
9 Remove accelerator pedal Except model 463.202/ 222/ 236/ 237/ 303/306/ 336/ 340/ 341/ 346 AR30.12-P-1321GR

10 Remove driver's side floor covering   AR68.20-P-2045GR
11 Remove air duct to rear compartment on driver's side    
12 Disconnect electrical connector (6) at evaporator temperature sensor (B10/6)    
13 Remove injection system control unit Only for engine 628.962 AR07.08-P-7008GC
On engine 112.945, 113.962, 113.982, 113.993 AR07.08-P-7008GM
With engine 612.965 AR07.08-P-7008GS
14 Disconnect electrical connector (7) from the blower regulator (A32n1)    
15 Disconnect electrical connector (8)    
16 Remove condensate water drain hoses (9) IMPORTANT Pry off from air conditioner housing (10) using a suitable tool.  
17 Remove air conditioner housing bracket (10) from A-pillar   AR83.30-P-5200-01GO 
18 Remove air conditioner housing bracket (10) from floor panel and firewall   AR83.30-P-5200-01GM 
19 Remove AC housing (10)    
NOTES Notes on removing and installing the air conditioner housing   AH83.30-P-0006-01GM
20 Install in the reverse order    
21 Read out fault memory and erase IMPORTANT After work is complete, faults stored in the fault memory must be processed and erased.
The stored faults may be caused by disconnected lines during assembly or test work as well as by a simulation.
 
  Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
22 Synchronize actuator motors    
23 Perform basic programming   AR00.19-P-0200P
