Remove/install clock spring contact - AR46.10-P-0200PQ

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units. Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100°C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply. AS91.00-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

1 Removing jacket tube module (N80)   AR54.25-P-2802PQ
2 Detach switch pods (1, 2, 3, 4) IMPORTANT The switch pods (1, 2, 3, 4) must not be mixed up.  
3 Remove bolts (5)    
4 Detach fanfare horns and airbag clock spring contact (A45) IMPORTANT Using a finger, grasp through the center bore and pull off the fanfare horns and airbag clock spring contact (A45) from underneath.
IMPORTANT When detaching the fanfare horns and airbag clock spring contact (A45) hold the pushbutton switch of the cruise control (CC TPM).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT If the clock spring contact (A45) was twisted, bring the clock spring contact (A45) into the center position before reinstalling: ↓
Turn the fanfare horns and airbag clock spring contact (A45) counterclockwise as far as the limit stop (turn gently against the limit stop, risk of damage), then turn approx. 2.5 turns clockwise until the screws are visible (5).
 
5 Unclip clamp screw (6) IMPORTANT Before assembling the steering column module (N80) insert the clamping screw (6) into the corresponding hole.  
6 Install in the reverse order    
7 Perform basic programming Model 209 AR00.19-P-0200Q
8 Read out fault memory and erase IMPORTANT Stored faults which are caused by assembly, test work, disconnected lines or a simulation, must be processed and erased in the fault memories upon completion of the work using the STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system.  
9 Carry out function check
