Function 

The functional readiness is displayed by the bright frame (1). When an obstacle is approached depending on the distance, one or more yellow segments (2) light up first from the outside inwards, and then the first or both red segments (3) of the LCD bar display.

Front warning indicator: 

When the first red segment (3) lights up in addition an intermittent signal sounds.

When the second red segment (3) lights up the intermittent signal becomes a continuous signal.

Rear warning indicator: 

When the fourth yellow segment (2) lights up in addition an intermittent signal sounds. The frequency increases with each additional yellow segment (2).

As of the first red segment (3) the acoustic warning takes place by means of a continuous signal.

The warning signals of the PTS warning display, rear (A44/3) and PTS warning display, center of instrument panel (A44/4) have a different frequency.

The brightness of the warning indicators (background lighting) changes when the conditions of the surroundings change such as, darkness, twilight or driving through a tunnel. The brightness is reduced to 30% of the maximum brightness.
