Rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module, task - GF54.21-P-4112-01QG

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK350 and 2008 Mercedes-Benz CLK350. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Rear window defroster

The heated rear window relay (N10/2kE) is actuated as per the request from the heated rear window switch (N22s1) in the AAC control and operating module (N22) or from the heated rear window switch (N22/7s1) in the comfort AAC control and operating module (N22/7).

The time for which the heated rear window (R1) remains switched on is stored in the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2). The timer control is adjustable via diagnosis (0 to 30 minutes).

If the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) detects an on-board power supply U < 11 V during the heating phase, the heated rear window function is switched off and the function LED flashes.

If the on-board power supply rises to a value of U > 11.8 V within < 10 seconds, the function is continued and the function LED then lights up again permanently.

If the on-board power supply does not rise to a value of U > 11.8 V within < 10 seconds, the function is aborted and the function LED goes out.
