Separate longitudinal member front section - AR62.20-P-1260-01P

IMPORTANT Work procedure shown on model 203.0.

  1. Mark separation points on longitudinal member (areas D and E).
  2. Cut separation points with body saw (areas D and E).
  3. Expose spot welds (areas H and I).
  4. Cut out spot welds with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld milling cutter (areas H and I).
  5. Remove longitudinal member front section

  6. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  7. Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  8. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
