Low-Pressure Test

NOTE: Perform high-pressure test first, see HIGH-PRESSURE TEST  .
NOTE: Numbers and letters in parenthesis refer to letters and numbers in illustrations.
  1. Turn off the engine and press brake pedal until vacuum is reduced.
  2. Turn back brake pedal winch (080) until a line pressure of approximately 44 psi (3 bar) overpressure is still indicated on pressure gauge. Line pressure must not fall for a duration of 2 minutes.
  3. If low pressure test is OK, disconnect pressure tester (051) and bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . If low pressure test is not OK, check for brake fluid loss. See BRAKE FLUID LOSS  .
