High-Pressure Test
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove bleed screw at brake caliper and connect pressure tester (051). See Fig 1 .
- Bleed pressure tester (051) according to manufacturer's operating instructions.
- Switch off easy entry function for driver's seat and steering wheel.
- Run engine at moderate speed then create as great a vacuum as possible by suddenly releasing the accelerator pedal.
- Insert brake pedal winch (080) together with adapter between brake pedal and seat.
- Press brake pedal as far as possible with the brake pedal winch (080). Pressure loss during test duration of 5 minutes must not exceed 5 percent of regulated value. If high-pressure test is OK, continue with low pressure testing. See LOW-PRESSURE TEST . If high pressure test is not OK, check for brake fluid loss. See BRAKE FLUID LOSS .
CAUTION:
Driver's seat and steering wheel move to a different position when driver's door is opened/closed. Seat may be damaged if brake pedal winch is installed. Driver seat and steering wheel memory is switched off using buttons on multifunction steering wheel in "Comfort" menu on multifunction display.
