3.1	Pull transponder coil off lock cylinder	Vehicles with stage 2a drive authorization system (DAS 2a) as of 6/96

4	Remove lock cylinder		AR46.10-P-0800B
5	Disconnect connector (S8/1x1) from warning buzzer contact (exterior lamps) (S8/1)
6	Disconnect connector (S2/1x1) from ignition/starter switch (S2/1)
7.1	Unscrew or pull off wire cable (37a) for parking lock interlock	Vehicles with automatic transmission
8	Pull vacuum lines (brown, brown/blue) off vacuum switch (37b)	Vehicles with diesel engines only, observe installed position of lines
9	Release clamp (37c), press in locking pin (37d) and pull steering lock (37) out of the jacket tube bearing tube	Installation:  When inserting ensure that the locking pin (37d) locks in position in the hole in the jacket tube bearing tube
10	Detach ignition/starter switch (S2/1)	The steering lock (37) must not be turned out of position "1" when the ignition/starter switch is not fitted, otherwise the steering lock is locked permanently
11.1	Remove washer (37i) and parking lock valve (37h)	Vehicles with automatic transmission
12	Detach warning buzzer contact (exterior lamps) (S8/1) and, if necessary, vacuum switch (37b) with cam (37g)
13	Install in reverse order	The steering lock and lock cylinder can only be fitted in lock cylinder position "1". Never turn the steering lock when the ignition/starter switch is not fitted
