| 5 | Disconnect connector (S8/1x1) from warning buzzer contact (exterior lamps) (S8/1) | ||
| 6 | Disconnect connector (S2/1x1) from ignition/starter switch (S2/1) | ||
| 7.1 | Unscrew or pull off wire cable (37a) for parking lock interlock | Vehicles with automatic transmission | |
| 8 | Pull vacuum lines (brown, brown/blue) off vacuum switch (37b) | ||
| 9 | Release clamp (37c), press in locking pin (37d) and pull steering lock (37) out of the jacket tube bearing tube | ||
| 10 | Detach ignition/starter switch (S2/1) | ||
| 11.1 | Remove washer (37i) and parking lock valve (37h) | Vehicles with automatic transmission | |
| 12 | Detach warning buzzer contact (exterior lamps) (S8/1) and, if necessary, vacuum switch (37b) with cam (37g) | ||
| 13 | Install in reverse order |
