	Inspecting
	Risk of injury. Moving parts can pinch, crush or  , in extreme cases even sever extremities.	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
	Risk of injury  to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing hydraulic fluid.	Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and eye protection.	AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
1	Pivot trunk lid with soft top switch toward rear when Vario roof is closed.	Then switch off ignition.
2	Unlock trunk lid in trunk lid lock by hand and move upward
3	Unclip and remove cover (1)
4	Read off oil level at oil reservoir of soft top actuation hydraulic unit (A7/5), correct is necessary	The oil level should be between the two triangular markings (zone A) on the oil reservoir of the soft top actuation hydraulic unit (A7/5) when the Vario roof is closed and the trunk lid pivoted to the rear. If it is necessary to correct the oil level: ↓

5	Install cover (1)
6	Move trunk lid down manually and lock in trunk lid lock
7	Switch on ignition and close trunk lid with soft top switch
