Remove side paneling in trunk |

Pivot trunk lid toward rear with roof switch |

Remove catch socket, screw bolts back in and tighten |

Actuate roof switch again momentarily in the opening direction |
The trunk lid pivots to the rear, Vario-roof closed |

Check adjustment of control cable (1) |
Gap between locking pawl (4) and catch housing (5): 0.5 mm
When checking the oblong hole in the hydraulic cylinder (6) must be in contact with the top of the bolt (7), if necessary ↓ Press trunk lid forward by hand until the oblong hole is in contact with the top of the bolt (7) |

Adjust control cable (1) in direction of arrow |

| 7 |
Open and close trunk lid a number of times with roof switch |
Check gap between locking pawl (4) and catch housing (5), if necessary ↓ Readjust control cable (1) |

Assembly |

Install catch socket |
Screw in screws without tightening |
|
| 9 |
Close trunk lid with roof switch |
|
|
| 10 |
Open trunk lid and tighten screws on catch socket |
