Danger!	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

	While working on the rear axle care must be taken to ensure that the surface of all aluminum components do not get any scratches, cracks and notches. Otherwise the service life of the parts will be affected
1	Remove twelve-point collar nut from rear axle shaft (37)		AR35.30-P-0115-01A
2	Raise vehicle with lifting platform
3	Remove rear wheel
	Remove and install wheels		AP40.10-P-4050Z
4	Detach brake caliper with brake pads from rear axle	To relieve the strain on the brake hose, fasten the brake caliper onto the vehicle free of tension so that it is not damaged during repair work. The brake hose must not be disconnected from the brake caliper during the repair work.	AR42.10-P-0080I
5	Detach rear brake cable from automatic cable slack adjuster of parking brake	See ↓

9	Pull out rear axle shaft flange (10) (wheel carrier installed)	Hydraulic extractor tool: Only tighten pressure screw of hydraulic auxiliary press to max. 40 Nm. If the rear axle shaft flange (10) is too tight to be extracted with a force of 40 Nm, the wheel carrier (7) must be removed and a stationary press used: ↓ Remove wheel carrier (7):	AR35.20-P-0130-01B

11	Remove retaining ring (9)	Installation:  Ensure that circlip (9) is properly seated in wheel carrier (7).
