Retrofitting automatic child seat recognition (ACSR) - AN91.60-P-0002C

MODEL 210 from 1.6.97 to 30.6.98

REFER TO SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS Removal     
1 Remove seat recognition and rubberized fiber matting    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR91.60-P-0720A
2 Check whether ACSR wiring harness is already present on wiring harness connector IMPORTANT If the 4-pin connector on the passenger seat is completely wired the ACSR wiring harness is already installed in the vehicle (do not perform steps 5 - 10)  
3 Disconnect ground lead from battery    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR54.10-P-0003A
4 Remove cover on shift lever    
5 Remove left bottom A-pillar paneling    
6 Remove right front floor covering    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.20-P-2070F
7 Remove ashtray    
8 Remove cover below left instrument panel on left    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.10-P-1500F
9 Open fuse box (F1)    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Installation     
10 Install automatic child seat recognition (ACSR) wiring harness   AN91.60-P-0002-01C 
11 Install rubberized fiber matting with seat recognition and automatic child seat recognition (ACSR)    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR91.60-P-0720A
12 Complete vehicle (items 9 - 3)    
13 Check for proper function and put into operation IMPORTANT Use Babysafe child seat to test AN91.60-P-0002-03A 
    IMPORTANT Read out DTC with HHT *WH58.30-Z-1036-13A 
14 Airbag wiring diagram with ACSR
