	Removing
1	Remove rear exhaust system (center and rear mufflers)
		Engine 104	AR49.10-P-7000B
		Engine 112	AR49.10-P-7000A
		Engine 113.940	AR49.10-P-7000A
		Engine 119 If there is a separation point between the center and rear mufflers, this must be heated if the plug joint is stuck. For safety reasons, install a heat shield between the frame floor and the exhaust pipes before heating the pipes on the vehicle.	AR49.10-P-7000EA
2	Check suspension parts for re-usability	Replace parts if necessary.
3	Cut through exhaust pipe of standard system between center muffler and rear muffler	Measure and mark from the end of the pipe bend and cut at the cutting line shown (arrow). Single-pipe system Dimension A: 125 mm (4-cylinder) Dimension A: 110 mm (6/8-cylinder) Twin-pipe system Dimension B: 65 mm Dimension C: 100 mm
	Installing
4	On certain vehicle model designations, the pipe cross section must be corrected by using a reducing bush.	Push the reducing bush into the incoming pipe as far as the stop so that the slots in the bush and the pipe do not coincide.
5	If the rear muffler is used with AMG tailpipes, a cut must be made in the standard MB rear apron (arrow)		AZ49.10-P-0001-01A
6	Install bolt-on bracket (for rear muffler suspension rings) in the right-hand mounting bore	On vehicles with 4-cylinder engine.
7	Replace left and right rear suspension rings	Use AMG suspension rings (different Shore hardness).
8	Install rear exhaust system (center and rear mufflers)

		Engine 119 Clamping length between center muffler and rear muffler system: 50-60 mm.	AR49.10-P-7000EA
9	Align and bolt on exhaust system	The rear muffler suspension points must be aligned accordingly (arrow) if the tolerance position is unsatisfactory. Ensure that the tailpipes run parallel and at a distance of min. 15 mm from the rear apron.
