		The two halves of the fixed caliper must not be separated.
	Disassemble/assemble
2	Press off dust cap (45)	Pliers Installation: Use pliers (026) and appropriate plate (027).	Fig 2
3	Insert 28 mm thick metal segment (040) into the fixed caliper, then carefully press out the pistons (47) as far as the stop using compressed air	Part of a brake disc can be used as the metal segment.
4	Remove piston (47) using piston-rotating pliers (020)	Pliers	Fig 3
5	Check piston (47) and bore in fixed caliper for damage and replace fixed caliper if necessary	Notes on damage to piston or cylinder bore on fixed caliper. Test values for front axle fixed caliper: ↓	AH42.10-P-9406-03A

6	Remove piston seal (50) from the groove in the cylinder bore.	Coat new piston seal (50) with brake fluid.
7	Assemble in reverse order
