Retrofitting trunk lid emergency release - AZ88.50-P-0002F

MODEL 210 as of 1.3.97 with CODE (491) U.S. version electric emergency release

	The electric trunk lid emergency release does not operate when:  - the battery is disconnected or discharged	When the battery is removed/disconnected (e.g.: temporary vehicle shutdown) it is necessary to remove the striker eye.
	After installation of the trunk lid emergency release, the separate trunk lid locking function (trunk lid lock in 90° position) is no longer available.
	Check trunk lid remote opening feature for proper operation
	Removing
1	Remove rear seat and rear backrest
			AR91.12-P-1700F
2	Disconnect battery
			AR54.10-P-0003A
3	Remove trunk lid paneling (3), cable duct (4) and paneling on left side of trunk
4	Remove trunk lid lock (9)
	Remove trunk lid lock and striker eye, install and adjust		AR88.50-P-5020F
	Installation
5	Cut off latch (10) in trunk lid lock (9) in area "A"
6	Install trunk lid lock (9)
	Remove trunk lid lock and striker eye, install and adjust		AR88.50-P-5020F
7	Retrofit trunk lid emergency release wiring harness (2)		AZ88.50-P-0002-05F
		Wiring harness repair kit.	Figure
8	Retrofit trunk interior button (1)		AZ88.50-P-0002-06F
9	Enter fuse assignment in fuse assignment plan
10	Fit remaining parts to vehicle	When installing trunk lid paneling, connect trunk interior button.
11	Carry out operational check
