Retrofitting trunk lid emergency release wiring harness - AZ88.50-P-0002-05F

    Routing wiring harness 

  1. Route wiring harness for trunk lid emergency release (1) along present wiring harnesses as shown in drawing.

  2. Route wiring harness for trunk lid emergency release (1) along present wiring harnesses as shown in drawing.

    IMPORTANT Route red, blue (rt, bl) leads into vehicle passenger compartment and brown (br) lead to ground point (W6/1).

  3. Route wiring harness along body paneling to battery recess and fasten with adhesive tape or cable straps.

  4. Connecting wiring harness 

  5. Unclip trunk lid contact switch (S17/8).
  6. Connect brown/yellow (br/ge) lead from wiring harness to brown/yellow (br/ge) lead of trunk lid contact switch (S17/8) with cut/clamp connector.
  7. Clip in trunk lid contact switch (S17/8).

  8. Disconnect connector to trunk lid exterior switch (S15/1).

    IMPORTANT 3-pin connector located at trunk lid lock.

  9. Connect brown/white (br/ws) lead from wiring harness to brown/white (br/ws) lead with cut/clamp connector.
  10. Connect connector.

  11. Attach eye on brown (br) ground lead to ground connection point, left rear in trunk (W6/1).

  12. Remove fuse box (F4).
  13. Connect red (rt) lead to plug-in location C for fuse 11 in fuse block (B) (arrow).
  14. Install fuse box (F4).

  15. Disconnect connector (white) from pneumatic control module (PSE) and disassemble plug.
  16. Connect blue (bl) lead from wiring harness to pin 11.

    IMPORTANT If pin 11 is already connected, strip approx. 80 mm of insulation off of wiring harness plug and connect blue (bl) lead from wiring harness to present lead (pin 11) with cut/clamp connector.

  17. Reconnect plug (white) to pneumatic control module (PSE).
