Remove/install steering angle sensor - AR46.10-P-0300PQ

MODEL 203 as of 24.4.04, 209 as of 1.6.04

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal/installation     
DANGER Risk of injury.  Injuries may result when performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units. Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply. AS91.00-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

1 Removing jacket tube module (N80)   AR54.25-P-2802PQ
2 Detach switch pods (1, 2, 3, 4) IMPORTANT The switch pods (1, 2, 3, 4) must not be mixed up.  
3 Unscrew bolts (5).    
4 Detach steering angle sensor (N49) IMPORTANT Using a finger, grip through the center bore and detach the steering angle sensor (N49) from below.
IMPORTANT When detaching the steering angle sensor (N49), hold the pushbutton switch of the cruise control (TPM).
 
5 Unclip clamp screw (6) IMPORTANT Before assembling the steering column module (N80) insert the clamp screw (6) in the corresponding bore.  
6 Install in the reverse order    
7 Perform basic programming Model 203 AR00.19-P-0200P
    Model 209 AR00.19-P-0200Q
8 Read out fault memory and erase IMPORTANT Faults stored due to cables being disconnected for assembly/testing operations or due to a simulation, must be processed and erased from the fault memories after work is completed.

9 Perform function check
