MODEL 170 with CODE (551a) Anti-theft alarm (ATA)

MODEL 170 up to 31.5.98 with CODE (552a) Anti-theft alarm (ATA) for Switzerland

Function prerequisites

An alarm can be triggered by the TS only when the anti-theft alarm ATA is activated and the TS features has not been deactivated with the ATA status/towing protection switch (S85/3)  or the ATA interior motion sensor/anti-towing sensor/status indicator switch (S25/2).

Function

The anti-towing sensor (TS) function monitors changes in the position of the parked vehicle, i.e. caused by an attempt to tow the vehicle away.

An alarm is triggered when the ATA receives a ground signal from the ATA inclination sensor (B33)  at the corresponding alarm input for longer than 0.3 s. The pneumatic system equipment control module (combined) (A37) triggers an optical  and acoustic alarm.

IMPORTANT A maximum of three alarms in sequence can be triggered by the TS feature.
