MODEL 170 as of 1.6.98 with CODE (551a) Anti-theft alarm (ATA)
The PSE control module (combined, A37) controls the sequence of the visual signals. The sequence differs depending on the national coding.
- ECE: lights flash for 5 minutes 2.5 times per second
: fog lamps and taillamps flash for 2.5 minutes approx. once per second
The turn signal lamps and taillamps are controlled directly by the PSE control module.
The fog lamps are controlled by the light module (N7-1) via the CAN bus.

As long as the alarm is present, the PSE control module (combined, A37) switches on the rear dome lamp (E15/3) and overhead control panel control module (N70).
The alarm can be terminated by activating or deactivating the ATA . After termination by activating the ATA the ATA remains active.
