Remove door liner on front door |

Remove outer door handle on front door |

Remove door speaker in area of door lock installation opening |

Pull off door foil on inner door panel in area of door lock installation opening |
 Installation:
Replace door foil if damaged, glue door foil onto inner door panel |

Remove plug (9), unscrew screws (7) and remove guide rail (8) downward through installation opening |
Mark installation position of guide rail (8) |

| 6 |
Unhook control cable (4) |
|
|
| 7 |
Disconnect pneumatic line (3) on vacuum element for door lock (6) |
Danger of plug-in profile breaking |
|
| |
|
Use 7 mm open end wrench to disconnect pneumatic line (3) |
|
| 8 |
Unscrew screws (5 and 1) and remove door lock (6) together with plastic cover (10) downward through installation opening |

Installation:
Unhook lug on plastic cover (10) at height of door lock linkage on inner door panel |

Remove plastic cover (10) from door lock (6) |
|
|
| 10 |
Reinstall in opposite order |
|
|

Check for proper function |
