Operate door contact switch, function - GF82.20-P-2005KA
Models 208.435 /444 /445 /447 /448 /465 /470
The opening and closing of the doors switches the interior lights on and off. This function can be activated or deactivated using the door contact On and Off switch (N70s3) . Each press of the switch causes a change in state between active or inactive. The state of the function is stored internally in the overhead control panel control module (N70) and sent as a CAN message. If the function is not active, the door contacts will not exert any influence on the interior lights.
The overhead control panel control module (N70) controls the lights' switch-on period.
The exit lights are controlled from each of the respective door control modules , and the front dome lamp (N70e1) from the overhead control panel control module (N70) .
The table below shows how the lights in the passenger compartment respond to each actuation of the door contact switch .
Only the exit lights on opened
doors are actuated.
The switching on of the lights has priority over switching them off. Example: if at circuit 15 "On" the driver's door is closed, while the front passenger-side door is open, the front dome lamp (N70e1) will remain on.
| Event | Effect, if circuit 15 on | Effect, if circuit 15 off |
| Opening front door | Front dome lamp (N70e1) dimmed on, exit lights immediately on | Front dome lamp (N70e1) dimmed on, exit lights immediately on, lamps remain on for 5 min. |
| Closing front door | Front dome lamp (N70e1) and dimmed off, exit lights immediately off | after 8 seconds front dome lamp (N70e1) and dimmed off, exit lights immediately off |
