Dimming interior lighting, function - GF82.20-P-3002A

MODEL 202 as of 1.6.97, 208, 210.081 /281, 210 (except 210.081 /281) as of 1.3.97 

The dome lamp with delay/front reading lamp (N70e1)  , the rear dome lamp (E15/3)  (not on model 208.4) and the D-pillar interior lamps (E25/3, E25/4)  (model 210.2 only) or trunk lamp (E18/1)  (models 202.07/08/18 only) are faded on and off by the associated control module.

This means that the electrical power provided by the output stage is increased linearly over a period of 1 second when the lamp is switched on and reduced linearly for a period of 3 seconds when the lamp is switched off.
