Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. |

| 6 | Pull off hot water hoses (2+3) | ||

Risk of injury from skin and eye contact with liquid refrigerant. | Do not carry out any welding work on the closed air conditioning system or in the surrounding area. No smoking or naked flames. Wear eye protection and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. | 14 | Separate all cable straps on transverse pipe | ||
| 15 | Remove screw connection (6) for the electrical leads on body tunnel | ||
| 16 | Unscrew mounting screws (7) and mounting nuts (8) on jacket tube | ||
| 17 | Pull off electric connector from passenger airbag squib (R12/8) | ||
| 18 | Remove heater ducts on left and right | ||
| 19 | Unscrew mounting nuts (9) (3x) from AC housing | ||
| 20 | Unscrew mounting screw (10) from body tunnel | ||
| 21 | Unscrew mounting screws (11) (2x) via jacket tube | ||
| 22 | Unscrew 3 mounting screws (12) on A-pillar | ||
| 23 | Disconnect connectors from vacuum supply reservoir (13) | ||
| 24 | Remove transverse pipe | ||
| 25 | Pull off electric connector at heater core temperature sensor (B10/1) | ||
| 26 | Pull off electric connector of the switchover valve for fresh air/recirculating airflap (Y13) | ||
| 27 | Pull off electric connector of the evaporator temperature sensor (B10/6) | ||
| 28 | Loosen all cable straps on heater housing | ||
| 29 | Remove AC housing | ||
| 30 | Install in opposite order |
