Removing and installing engine hood - AR88.40-P-3000E

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal, installation     
1 Open engine hood IMPORTANT Move engine hood to upright position AR88.40-P-1000E 
2 Place fender protectors on fenders    
3 Remove cover (2) by pressing on catch lugs (5, arrow) IMPORTANT Use screwdriver  
4 Unclip clip (3) and disconnect electric plug connection (8)    
5 Pull electric lead (10) out of engine hood    
6 Pull water hose (9) off of check valve and pull out of engine hood    
7 Mark installation position of engine hood on engine hood hinges IMPORTANT This facilitates installation  
8 Remove screws (4) on engine hood TORQUE SPECIFICATION
IMPORTANT Secure engine hood with second person
*BA88.40-P-1001-01A 
IMPORTANT When the engine hood is replaced seal joints before painting, after installation preserve with hollow cavity wax    
9 Remove engine hood with second person and put down on suitable surface IMPORTANT Avoid damaging paint
IMPORTANTInstallation:  When installing pay attention to correct fit, if necessary ↓
 
    Adjust engine hood AR88.40-P-3020E 
10 Reinstall in opposite order    
TORQUE SPECIFICATION ENGINE HOOD
