Removing and installing pull cable for engine hood - AR88.40-P-3100F

MODEL 210, 208.3 /4

REMOVINGINSTALLING Removal, installation     
DANGER Risk of injury  from fingers being pinched or jammed  when removing and installing and aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids/tailgates and sliding roof When moving components ensure that no body parts or limbs are in the area of motion. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Move engine hood to upright position   AR88.40-P-1000F 
2 Remove left and right engine hood locks NOTESInstallation:  Check locking function of engine hood lock and safety hook after installation AR88.40-P-3200K 
    Model 208 AR88.40-P-3200K 
    Model 210 AR88.40-P-3200F
3 Unscrew screw (1) on handle (3)    
4 Pull handle (3) out of catch on cover and unhook engine hood pull cable (5) from handle (3)    
5.1 Remove cover below instrument panel IMPORTANT Model 210 only AR68.10-P-1500F
6 Press pull cable grommet (4) back from inside at fuse box (6, arrow) NOTES When installing the pull cable grommet ensure that it is seated properly on the fuse box  
7 Fasten cord or wire to nipple on engine hood pull cable (5) on inside IMPORTANT This facilitates installation  
8 Remove cover (7) on fuse box (6)    
9 Pull relay (8) up out of fuse box (6) (arrow) and put down IMPORTANT Do not disconnect electric plugs  
10 Unclip engine hood pull cable (5) on fuse box retaining catch (17) IMPORTANT Press fuse box side wall slightly inwards for this purpose.  
11 Expose engine hood pull cable in engine compartment and pull out NOTES When installing route engine hood pull cable carefully  
12 Install in opposite order    
13 After installing check locking function of engine hood and safety catch
