Application of firing device

To ignite the emergency tensioning retractors with the ETR test connector (X11/7) or on vehicles with airbag with the SRS test connector (X11/13), a separate self-made adapter cable is required which is not included with the firing device, part no.

  1. Switch off ignition, disconnect negative pole on battery and cover.
  2. To fire emergency tensioning retractors, disconnect 4-pin connector (X11/7) below front right door sill molding.
  3. Press pressure switch (2) and simultaneously pressure switch (3) at the specified safety distance (10 m, corresponds to ignition cable length). After triggering, control lamp (5) comes on.
  4. Connect connector on adapter cable (10) with 4-pin plug and repeat step 5.
