Check Engine Lamp Illuminated Or Malfunction

If CHECK ENGINE malfunction indicator lamp is inoperative or stays on, check the following items and repair as necessary:

• Check CHECK ENGINE malfunction indicator circuit. Perform TEST 20  under SYSTEM TESTS.
